I graduated with a Ph.D. in Physics in 2019 at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain, with an International Mention after a six-month stay at the Lawrence National Berkeley Laboratory, U.S. in 2018. Afterwards, in 2020 I joined Prof. Jan Ingo Flege&#8217;s group \u2018Applied Physics and Semiconductor Spectroscopy\u2019, Brandenburg Technological University.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group pnb-qa\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>My work is related to developing novel materials and coatings prepared by atomic layer deposition (ALD) for room temperature hydrogen (H2) gas sensing applications, which constitute a key safety part of the development of green, renewable energy vectors in the coming energy transition. This research line constitutes a continuation of the so-called project \u201cInnovation Campus for Microelectronics and Microsensing (iCamp\u03bcs) Cottbus\u201d, a new center aimed to boost the structural changes in the Lausitz region to switch from fossil fuels to renewable sources of energy in the next few decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PNB grant is offering me an exciting frame to continue my academic career and to establish new and stronger collaborations with other young scientists in Brandenburg.
