Overview over the WissZeitVG

The WissZeitVG, the law on academic fixed-term contracts, determines the framework for the vast majority of employments of researchers in German academia. In this talk, I will briefly introduce the key points of the current implementation of the law, the changes that are currently proposed by the federal ministry of research (BMFTR), and the positions of HAPN and other ECR networks across Germany, who formulated a joint response letter to the amendment draft:
